Literature Text

"Well here it is!" Your father, Arthur said with glee, as he examined the house. You were very excited about moving here,  the house was big, beautiful, and had a pool outback! Glancing over at your three year old brother, Peter, you saw he was out cold. "________, wake up your brother." Arthur said. "I'll start to unpack the trunk." Your father climbed out of the car and went to the trunk.
"Peter.." you called, shaking your tiny brother awake. He looked up and over to you. "Peter we're finally here!" Peter smiled.
"Okay..." He yawned as you unblucked his seatbelt for him. "Now go help dad unpack okay?" Peter gave an enthusiastic nod before jumping out of the car to help dad. You climbed out and gathered your belongs too. The three of you walked into the house, and noticed it was already furnished, due to the movers coming with your father to the house yesterday and getting the giant furniture in before hand.
"Now ________, you bedroom is right down the hall." Arthur said as you walked upstairs with him and Peter.
"Okay." You said as you happily ran into your room. It was big! Your bed was their, and your dresser, nightstand, desk, and even your tiny toybox of your childhood toys. Placing your boxes of books, stuffed animals, hair care products and other things onto your bed, you looked around. Flinging open the closet, you saw all your clothes and shoes neatly arranged. Moments later, Peter ran in.
"________! ________!" He cried in his little voice. "Come see my room!" You smiled, following your brother into his room. His room had his tiny bed, and a pile of Lego's in the corner. His bookbag was on a hook by the door, and his room's walls were a light blue with pictures of ships and water animals all around.
"Nice Pete." You said, ruffling your brothers hair. "Now, why don't you make something with the Lego's and I'll be right back."
"Okay! I'm going to make a country!" The toddler cried in glee, hurrying over to his Legos. You smiled, leaving his room and going into yours. The minute you entered your room, you felt a bit more tension, as if...someone was....watching you...
You shrugged it off however, and went to unpack your stuff.
--Le Time Skip--
That night, you cooked dinner for your dad and brother, and Peter fell asleep around 8:30. You sat up flipping through the channels, deciding weather to watch (facorite TV show) or (second favorite TV show).
"_______." You heard someone call. You looked over to see your father in his mint green pajamas. "I say you go to bed love. It's getting late and tomarrow we are going to be out all day."
"Okay dad." You groaned, flipping off the TV. Yougot up from the couch and headed up the stairs. "Night."
"Good-night." You father said, watching you cotinue up the stairs.
That night, you were woken by a weird noise. It wasn't the storm that had hit at 1 a.m. though. Sitting up in bed, you figured it was Peter going into your dad's room because he had heard the thunder, or maybe your dad going to the bathroom. You looked into the hallway from your door.
"Dad?" You mumbled. "P-peter?" No answer. Your heart raced in your cheast, blood pounding in your ears as you trembled under the covers.
Suddenly, you heard what seemed to be an obnoxious laugh. You raised your eyebrow.
"W-who's there?" you asked. Suddenly, lightning flashed, and a big black shadow appeared at your doorway. Your eyes widened as lightning flashed again, only this time...
...it was gone...
